Benefiting Others?

Simple question. Is your spiritual gift benefiting others?

We all have been placed where we are and given gifts to benefit others. 1 Corinthians 12:7 tells us, “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all“. Are people profiting from your gift(s)?

God knows exactly what we, as individuals AND as a part of the Body of Christ, need. The Holt Spirit searches the heart of God (1 Cor 2:10 & 11). That same Spirit provides gifts each Christian (1 Cor 12:11). Dare we say, based upon what is on the heart of God? Could this be one indication of what God wants to do?

Some have no idea what gift(s) they have. It could be that they simply feel unworthy, unusable or discouraged. If you are a child of God, this is false thinking. It also could be for a host of other reasons that you’re not actively using your gift(s).

But just imagine what the world would be like if Christians were fully employing their gift(s). My guess is that the world wouldn’t be as far gone as it is. Government handouts might be non-existent (as in, not necessary).

My question is: is your spiritual gift benefiting others or are you simply an observer?
