The Easy Way

Oswald Chambers says, “It is easier to serve or work for God without a vision and without a call, because then you are not bothered by what He requires. Common sense, covered with a layer of Christian emotion, becomes your guide.”

To live and serve this way makes it easy to manage your time with God as time management is not required. You can simply order your day as you please and go on about YOUR business (perhaps under the cloak of “God’s work”). My questions are: is this truly living, is this truly serving God?

If your task was to help build a home but you never spoke with the General Contractor and built what you wanted when you wanted to your contribution could result in disaster. When God commissions you for a task you realise that your own common sense is not adequate for the day.

Have you spent time with God this morning? Has He ordered your days tasks?

Acts 20:24 HCSB

“But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.”
